The notion of time is a constant in my calligraphies, providing a perpetual source of material for writing. At 3:14 PM, I place my pen, reed pen or chisel marker onto the surface and calligraph the words in full: "Quinze heures, quatorze minutes et deux secondes" [Fifteen hours, fourteen minutes and two seconds]. This evocation of passing time is an invitation to contemplate the ephemeral beauty of every moment, and to anchor oneself in the present, serving as a poetic and visual reminder of the fleeting nature of life and the importance of not letting precious moments slip away. Calligraphic practice becomes a meditative time, where concentration and diligence take precedence. After hours of disciplined and rigorous work, one frees oneself to let the pure echo of the moment—when the tool glides and the hand becomes choreography—fly lightly onto the paper.

Exhibition on view from September 3 to October 10 during regular opening hours. Opening reception on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 6:30 PM, where you can also discover the second guest artist, Philippe VDD, as well as the three new permanent artists, Frédéric Haire, Isabelle Looten and Stefan Gaudiere.
