Please note: for combined expo+Méliès museum tickets -> access to the Méliès museum is on the same day as the exhibition visit. Free entry for children under 6 is granted only on-site at the Cinémathèque upon presentation of proof of age. Timed tickets, mandatory reservation of a visit slot.

Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday to Friday from 12 pm to 7 pm. Weekends, school holidays and public holidays from 11 am to 8 pm.

Early closure at 6 pm on every 2nd Thursday of the month. Closed on Tuesdays and 25 December.

Jean-Paul Belmondo, a true icon of French cinema, embodies a generation of audacious and innovative actors. His mythical role in À Bout de Souffle (1960) marked the beginning of a dazzling career, during which he made up to eight films in a single year. This actor with an athletic physique constantly pushed boundaries, juggling comedy, action, and drama, with a communicative energy and an unalterable passion that left an indelible mark on the history of cinema. This exhibition pays tribute to one of the greatest names in cinema. Belmondo is the Actor par excellence, one who carried cinema with his joy of acting, his elegant nonchalance, and his contagious laugh through 90 films where he successfully combined audacity, charm, and authenticity. Thanks to his unique style, his taste for risk, and his famous stunts, he revolutionised the action film genre, becoming a symbol of the modern man in cinema.
