Exposition Pérou–Toulouse

An exhibition dedicated to contemporary Peruvian art, bringing together around twenty Peruvian artists living in France.

From September 17 to October 5, 2026, the Alliance Française de Toulouse presents AXE Pérou–Toulouse, an exhibition dedicated to the richness and diversity of contemporary Peruvian art. Hosted at the Maison des Associations, this cultural event brings together around twenty Peruvian artists living in France and showcases nearly fifty original works. Painting, photography, printmaking, textile art, digital art, mixed media, and retables: the featured works offer a varied panorama of the current Peruvian art scene. Through their creations, the artists explore notions of memory, identity, transmission, and dialogue between cultures, while echoing a heritage rich in ancestral traditions. Born in Paris in 2018, the AXE project aims to promote Peruvian art to the French public. After several editions organized in various cities across France, it stops in Toulouse to offer a genuine meeting between Peru and the Toulouse region. This exhibition thus contributes to strengthening international cultural exchanges and introducing the vitality of contemporary Peruvian artistic creation to the widest possible audience. Open to all, this exhibition is an invitation to travel, discovery, and intercultural dialogue through the eyes of artists with unique backgrounds.
