Exposition « Réparer l'invisible », Justin Palermo

To open its new cultural season themed around Repairing, the Passage Sainte-Croix welcomes visual artist Justin Palermo.

Touched by the experience of grief, Justin Palermo explores what remains after absence. Justin works from memories, everyday objects, damaged or broken items to offer them a second life. Playing with the fragility of gathered elements, he mends, transforms, and poetises familiar and anonymous narratives. His delicate and meticulous creations seem as paltry as they are sources of wonder. They reveal and magnify the invisible.

Justin Palermo takes over the entirety of the Passage Sainte-Croix. In the exhibition rooms as well as in the passageways, he focuses his attention on what usually goes unnoticed: architectural details, plays of light, textures, traces of time or even dust.

Between visible works and interventions scattered throughout the building, he invites visitors to slow down their gaze and allow themselves to be surprised. A sensitive exhibition that reveals the poetry of the infinitesimal and transforms the Passage Sainte-Croix into a ground for discovery.
