Festival Tous en Sons !

A co-production by Tous en Sons! and Marseille Jazz des cinq continents. New experience and new horizons. As part of the Tous en Sons!

festival, Marseille Jazz des cinq continents is delighted to present a co-production born of our close ties with our colleagues at the prestigious Jazz à Vienne festival.

Every summer, Jazz à Vienne raises the curtain with a show for primary school pupils from the local area, who fill the tiers of the Théâtre antique to watch a creation devised especially for the festival's opening.

In 2026, Vincent Peirani was invited to devise a show worthy of the occasion. A virtuoso artist of extreme sensitivity, Vincent is also an open-minded spirit, drawn to the repertoires and storytelling of the whole world.

Every devotee of the Jazz des cinq continents still remembers the unique concert at the Théâtre Silvain, Le Tour du monde avec Vincent Peirani, in 2019.

For this challenge, the accordionist calls upon a character dear to all of Scandinavia: Ronya, Robber's Daughter is a novel by Astrid Lindgren that every child there knows.

This tale, rich in adventure and emotion, tells the story of Ronja, an intrepid young girl born in the heart of a robbers' fortress, a fortress that, on the night of her birth, is split in two by a storm.

Ronja grows up amid the laughter of the outlaws and the mysteries of the Scandinavian forest. She befriends Birk, son of the rival clan.

Their friendship stirs up old resentments, revives the hatreds of the past and draws them into an adventure in which they must choose between family loyalty and the quest for freedom. With Ronja, music and theatre join in a vibrant fresco.

Julie Sicard, of the Comédie-Française, and Sanseverino embody the voices of the tale, surrounded by the cross-currents of energy from the ensembles Journal Intime and Jokers, directed by Vincent Peirani.
