Giroud & Stotz - Classe !

Presented by Angel's Team CommunicationIconoclastes, bucking the solo stand-up trend, Cécile GIROUD and Yann STOTZ charge in and sweep you into a world of music hall, sketches, singing, dance and impersonations set against a backdrop of the absurd. The two performers have fun and make fun of everything. They also star in LA REVUE de PRESSE on Paris Première alongside Jérôme De Verdière, where they play political investigators whose methods and sources are more than dubious, and they appear on Jérôme de Warzee's Belgian programme ‘LE GRAND CACTUS’ as eminent French specialists in Belgian politics. Blessed with a wide range of talents, they offer audiences a delightful modern music-hall show, a musicomic show unlike any other, generously varied and surprising, somewhere between laughter and emotion, whose watchword is ‘Classe!’.

There is indeed a great deal of elegance in their attire. They wear haute couture gowns and dinner suits with an almost aristocratic ease. In short, they are chic! The trouble is that, for all the refinement of their attire, they are often short on decorum.

Often closer to a duel than a harmonious duet, these two hellraisers – absolute fans of Monty Pythons, cartoons, French chanson, Anglo-Saxon ‘musicals’, cinema, B-movies and even Z-movies, burlesque and life itself – settle into improbable situations that start off well enough, then insidiously and inevitably go off the rails to end in utter disaster. Don't be fooled: these unruly, mischievous pupils, gifted at singing, piano, impersonation, mime, dance and comedy, love nothing more than, with the utmost elegance, cheerfully sweeping through every barrier and wiping their feet on the doormat of propriety, without anything appearing incongruous, indecent or out of place. In short, it is fresh, delightful, deliciously bawdy, completely off the wall but always, always of the highest quality.
