Hosanna - Le Spectacle Musical

HOSANNA, presented by Thierry Chabrot and written by Marc Di Domenico in collaboration with Father Antoine D’Augustin, is a musical show that celebrates Jesus Christ through music and song.

Featuring the Iconic Symphonic orchestra conducted by Ralph Szigeti with 80 musicians, led by first violinist Guillaume Latour, and an exceptional choir of 200 choristers from diverse traditions — Catholic, gospel and Orthodox — this show offers a unique musical and spiritual journey.

The greatest sacred works and iconic songs dedicated to Christ meet here, drawn from the repertoires of Charles Aznavour, Laurent Voulzy, Elvis Presley, among others, as well as major works by Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and others.

Alongside these repertoires are Orthodox sacred chants and Taizé chants, bringing meditative depth and a universal dimension.

The show also opens up to major works from the cinematic and contemporary repertoire, with powerful compositions by Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer and Arvo Pärt, reinforcing the emotion and visual scale.

Between each scene, excerpts from the Gospels illuminate the narrative, delivered by the voice of Father Antoine d’Augustin, rector of the Basilica of Notre-Dame des Victoires, giving the whole a narrative and spiritual depth.

From Ave Marias to contemporary Hosannas, the music becomes prayer, breath and light.

THE SHOW: Featuring a large-scale immersive visual setup, HOSANNA deploys an original creation blending painting, cinema and contemporary imagery, projected in ultra high definition on a giant screen towering over the orchestra.

Moving stained glass windows, works of art, landscapes and faces in contemplation compose a living, cinematic fresco. Each image is designed, edited and synchronized with precision to the orchestra and voices, creating a total experience where sight and hearing become one.
