Ibeyi - Tournée

Presented by Talent Boutique. With Offering, Ibeyi returns to the free, spontaneous instinct of their early days.

Over more than a decade of success — endorsed by Beyoncé and Orelsan, through their Tiny Desk and COLORS sessions, tours across the biggest stages, crowned in summer 2023 by a memorable Olympia show — the Diaz twins saw their momentum weaken under the pressure of algorithms and often clumsy marketing strategies.

While Offering, as is often the case in their work, draws on an imaginary shaped by Yoruba religion, these references should not divert attention from what matters most: the Diaz sisters tell a more intimate, less symbolic story, and speak for themselves for the first time with one shared voice.

Between sacred minimalism, analogue textures, twisted percussion and transformed voices, they have crafted an album that is at times completely stripped back and at other times more massive, where physicality and raw energy run through every track.

Newly independent, they have gathered around them a cohort of producers from hip-hop, the underground and alternative pop (Khalil, Jason Pounds, Zach Ezzy, pablopablo, Jack Peñate), in place of their longtime collaborator Richard Russell.

A unanimous, deeply transformative decision. For two years, Naomi and Lisa-Kaindé pursued the same artistic clarity — through good and bad musical 'dates', until their decisive meeting with Michael Brun, who serves as executive director of the album.

By temporarily stepping away from outside scrutiny, Ibeyi has rediscovered what matters most: the play.
