Ibeyi - Tournée

Presented by Talent Boutique. With Offering, Ibeyi revisits the free, spontaneous instinct of their beginnings.

Over more than a decade of success — endorsed by Beyoncé and Orelsan, through their Tiny Desk and COLORS sessions, tours across the biggest stages, and crowned in summer 2023 by a memorable Olympia show — the Diaz twins saw their momentum weakened under the pressure of algorithms and often clumsy marketing strategies.

While Offering, as is often the case in their work, draws on an imaginary world nourished by Yoruba religion, these references should not divert attention from the essentials: the Diaz sisters unfold a more intimate, less symbolic narrative, and tell their story for the first time with one shared voice.

Between sacred minimalism, analogue textures, twisted percussion and transformed voices, they have crafted an album that is sometimes completely stripped back, sometimes more massive, where physicality and raw energy run through every track.

Newly independent, they have gathered around them a cohort of producers from hip-hop, the underground and alternative pop (Khalil, Jason Pounds, Zach Ezzy, pablopablo, Jack Peñate), in place of their long-time collaborator Richard Russell.

A unanimous and deeply transformative decision. For two years, Naomi and Lisa-Kaindé pursued the same artistic clarity — through good and bad musical 'dates', until their decisive meeting with Michael Brun, who serves as executive director of the album.

By stepping briefly away from outside scrutiny, Ibeyi has rediscovered the essential: the play.
