Overview
Originally from Aleppo, John Almo arrived in France in 2015. He first took to the stage in Toulouse, settled in Paris in 2022, and founded 14de7k, an Arabic comedy platform that supports new voices from the diaspora.
On stage, he talks about himself without holding back — adolescence, exile, the illusions one carries from one country to another. His humour is sharp, precise, and frankly unflattering towards himself. Which, it seems, is a form of courage.
