John Almo - One Hour Comedy Special
Show performed in Lebanese Arabic.
Overview
Show performed in Lebanese Arabic. Born in Aleppo, John Almo arrived in France in 2015. He took to the stage for the first time in Toulouse, settled in Paris in 2022 and founded 14de7k, an Arabic-language comedy platform that supports new voices from the diaspora.
On stage, he talks about himself without holding back: adolescence, exile, and the illusions one drags from one country to another. His humour is acerbic and precise, and quite unflattering to himself. Which, apparently, is a form of courage.
