The largest cultural gathering in France, the 2025 edition, which sold out, made a strong impression by bringing together 610,000 people over three days. The next edition will take place on 11, 12 and 13 September 2026, at Base 217, in Plessis-Pâté.

Organized every year by the newspaper L'Humanité, usually during the second weekend of September, the Festival of Humanity was founded in 1930 by Marcel Cachin, then director of the newspaper. Over time, it has become an unmissable event, both political and cultural.

An event… … cultural: Here culture is understood in its broadest sense, with not only over 50 major concerts, but also several art exhibitions, cinema, street art, theatre and even a large book village!

… political: The Festival of Humanity is an engaged event aimed at promoting values of equality, solidarity, peace, sharing and social justice.

Each year, many organizations from throughout France (and the world for some) from political parties, NGOs, associations defending many essential causes in our society are invited to participate: unionism, social struggles, feminism, ecology, fight against racism and discrimination, popular education, democratization of culture, etc.
