Overview

India. Smita is an Untouchable. She dreams of seeing her daughter escape her miserable condition and go to school.
Sicily. Giulia works in her father's workshop. When he has an accident, she discovers that the family business is ruined.
Canada. Sarah, a renowned lawyer, is about to be promoted to head her firm when she learns she is seriously ill.
Unbeknownst to them, Smita, Giulia and Sarah are linked by what is most intimate and unique to them. They refuse the fate destined for them and decide to fight. Vibrant with humanity, their stories weave a braid of hope and solidarity.
