Le Comte de Monte — Cristo en Ciné — Concert

The blockbuster film that has captivated more than 13 million viewers worldwide returns in a new cine-concert version with symphonic orchestra, on a tour that will take it to Paris, Lille and Lyon in April 2027. For the occasion, the film will be screened in its extended version, with 10 minutes of exclusive sequences.

For more than 3 hours, the 80 musicians of the Yellow Socks Orchestra will perform the celebrated film score live, in perfect synchronisation with the projection on the big screen. Conceived like an opera, the symphonic score by Jérôme Rebotier, under the artistic direction and executive production of Pierre-Marie Dru (Pigalle Production), accompanies the hero, brilliantly played by Pierre Niney, from beginning to end in his quest for revenge.

The turning point in Dantès's fate, the treasure, the fortune that will allow him to become the Count of Monte Cristo and finance his relentless punishment, also becomes the film's main musical theme. A haunting melodic motif, drawn from the opening notes of the love theme between Edmond and Mercédès, returns again and again like a memory that cannot be shaken off.

The masterful adaptation of Alexandre Dumas's novel by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière, presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024 and winner of three César awards, including the Students' César, reappears in a new form, elevated by the power and emotion of the symphonic orchestra.
