Eva, an orphan from birth, receives on her 18th birthday dozens of micro cassettes containing the voice of her mother, a war reporter. Eva, very intelligent but above all very angry, is a young resident of the Closed Education Centre for minors in Mont de Marsan.

Abandoned at birth, she knows nothing of her parents. Yet that day, summoned to the notary, she receives her inheritance: dozens of micro cassettes and a dictaphone, with her mother's voice across hours and hours of recordings.

The Lebanese War, Arafat's speech at the UN, the fall of the Berlin Wall... Anna Duval was a war reporter. Eva then plunges into a whole decade of journalism to discover her own Grand History. Tahar – Horsh Arz el-Rab. « the forest of the Cedars of God  ».

It is a somewhat sacred place for us. At the heart of this forest, among the other centuries-old cedars, there is a tree blackened by fire. It is the only one. They say it was struck by lightning, just like that, all at once. One of the oldest in the forest.

It was over 3,000 years old, so they say. A few days before you arrived, I went walking in Bcharré. All the way to this tree. I climbed the mountain until I reached this ebony wood. And there, right at my feet, in the hollow of its trunk, I found its fruit, intact.
