Le grand Kami

During this poetic and participatory show, it comes to life in the form of a giant rattan puppet, carefully manipulated by three performers. The great Kami wanders across the Place d'Armes of the Fort Saint-Jean, where its presence, both benevolent and calm, captivates the audience. Its story then unfolds: having become too dry, it has lost its plant essence and seems to be seeking a refuge, a return to nature. Its gaze drifts between the sea in the distance and the plant elements of the Jardin des Migrations.

Around it, the "émoustilleurs" and their globols, small luminous beings with heads filled with water, offer it fragments of moss. The audience is invited to take part in this symbolic re-greening by placing moss on its structure. Little by little, the Kami awakens, and a flight of birds brings this poetic dance between humankind and nature to a close. An immersive experience in which emotion and movement celebrate sensitivity and reconnection with the living world.
