Daniel Balavoine, an iconic and emblematic artist of French chanson, with his committed lyrics, marked the 70s and 80s with unforgettable titles such as L'Aziza, Le Chanteur, Tous les cris, les SOS and Mon fils, ma bataille.

Revealed to the general public thanks to Michel Berger, who offered him the role of Johnny Rockfort in the musical Starmania, he adopted a rock-punk look for the occasion and perfectly sang two titles that would make him famous: Quand on arrive en ville and SOS d’un terrien en détresse.

The public then discovered an exceptional artist, who would inspire an entire generation through his unique style, blending rock, variety, and pop influences.

Daniel Balavoine, also a fervent defender of causes close to his heart (notably education and the fight against poverty), passionately addressed and defended social and humanitarian themes throughout his career, tragically cut short in 1986 in a helicopter accident.

However, his musical legacy remains timeless, continuing to inspire numerous artists and fans worldwide, and touching entire generations with its depth and authenticity.
