Overview
The explosive birth of RAMONEURS DE MENHIRS took place in spring 2006. In the Breton night, perfect for dancing, against a backdrop of an overexcited drum machine, a saturated punk guitar then united with traditional partisan singing and the frantic themes of a pair of pipers.
The tunes remain faithful to the repertoire and style of the ancients; the Breton language coils and uncoils, to the rhythm of gavottes, laridés, plinn, hanter-dro and other kas a-barh.
The original lyrics are often reinterpreted, offering a rebellious and contemporary perspective on our world. The punk-trad cocktail is explosive.
Between modernity and tradition, punk and historical channels merge in the legacy of Bérurier Noir's insubmission, and we witness the birth of a true cultural and transgenerational revolution!
