Sending a message to extraterrestrials is possible: all it takes is mobilising an entire scientific programme, giant antennas and a dash of collective daring. But telling your hairdresser you don't like her cut remains a far more complex challenge…

With Arecibo, Louis Cattelat turns the stage into a place of listening and self-mockery, somewhere between cosmic poetry and earthly questions. Inspired by the famous message sent into space in 1974, he invites us to dream together, to tune in to mysterious waves and to explore, with humour — sometimes dark — and sensitivity, what connects us: on Earth and perhaps well beyond.
