« Moëra », une exposition d'Émilie Brout & Maxime Marion

From 11 September to 28 November 2026, Émilie Brout & Maxime Marion will present "Moëra" at the Zoo art centre.

Émilie Brout & Maxime Marion have formed an artistic duo since their studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.

Their work often borrows its aesthetics from the visual culture of the web, and is based on extensive theoretical and iconographic research surrounding contemporary technologies, as well as the uses and imaginaries linked to the digital world.

The monographic exhibition Moëra is structured around a large digital and collaborative installation, created using a video game engine.

Presented as a sanctuary with the appearance of a romantic garden, the central work brings together the creative worlds of several artists, and is extended by multiple pieces created by the various guest artists within the art centre space.

In a meditative atmosphere, Émilie Brout & Maxime Marion question our relationship to the virtual and the real, as well as to identity and self-representation.

They draw inspiration from new online communication modes to offer a multi-voiced installation that invites viewers into both contemplation and participation.

The exhibition will also extend beyond its walls through a dedicated website enabling visitors to interact with the universe of Moëra, and to discover the work of the guest artists in greater depth.

Moëra is part of the Mirages exhibition trail, organised from 16 to 20 September 2026 to mark the 15th anniversary of the Nantes scene Stéréolux. Curated by Patrice Joly, Émilie Brout & Maxime Marion.

The exhibition can be viewed from 11 September to 28 November 2026, Tuesday to Saturday from 2pm to 7pm. Closed Sundays, Mondays and public holidays. 30pm.
