Overview
An intimate contemporary adaptation of Samuel Beckett's play, « Oh les beaux jours ! » is a text-based theatre show presented at the Carré Rondelet Théâtre in Montpellier.
« Oh les beaux jours ! » is an intimate contemporary adaptation of Samuel Beckett's work. The original text presents a woman buried in the earth, who multiplies words and gestures to fill her days and endure the waiting and the repetition of everyday life.
The show belongs to text-based theatre: speech occupies a central place, and the black humour that runs through Beckett's writing surfaces in the lines. The names of Sylvie Adjedj-Reiffers and Laurent Koenig are associated with this production, which offers a tight, personal reading of the text.
The Carré Rondelet Théâtre, located in Montpellier, hosts this performance as part of its programme.
