PLEINE NUIT #002

featuring Beatrice M. + Sevenbeatz + guest

BEATRICE M.

Born in France to English parents, Beatrice has developed a sound identity at the crossroads of British bass music with its syncopated rhythms, dubstep and psychedelic techno. Their sets move between the raw sounds of the UK scene and hypnotic textures close to trance, while staying true to the roots of these styles and exploring new directions.

With their label Bait, Beatrice has in a very short time established themselves as one of the most credible voices in contemporary dubstep, championing a vision of bass music that combines heritage and experimentation.

After releasing tracks on iconic labels such as Tempa, Beatrice is about to unveil their debut album, Sinking, on Tectonic, in early June.

SEVENBEATZ

With Sevenbeatz, everything starts with the record. Originally from Royan, based in Bordeaux and a member of the collectives La Sueur and Tustance, he runs the label Le Ciel Records and nourishes his practice with archival work under the alias Safe Disques. His sets focus on intensity, discovery and the body. Over ten years on the scene and his obsession with digging have given him the experience and ease to juggle between genres. That dexterity has led him towards live performance. His compositions have found their place in film, on stage and with dance companies and other artists.
