Rencontre autour de l’Anthologie poétique VERLAINE RIMBAUD

Paul Verlaine is the poet most closely bound to the life and legend of Arthur Rimbaud. After receiving poems signed AR during the summer of 1871, including 'Les effarés' and lines that would later form 'Le Bateau ivre', he was struck and moved by the power of these verses and sent him an invitation. The quotation remains famous: « Venez, chère grande âme, on vous appelle, on vous attend  ».

The aim of this anthology, marking the 130th anniversary of Verlaine's death, is to pay tribute to the two poets by drawing on their lives and their poetic work. Indeed, I chose the theme Verlaine Rimbaud by inviting contemporary poets to dedicate poems to them, according to their own inspiration and sensibility.
