Following the phenomenal launch in Paris, Roméo & Juliette continues its journey across France, Switzerland and Belgium from 11 February 2028.A true popular phenomenon, Roméo & Juliette has already captivated more than 11 million spectators around the world. Translated into 18 languages and performed in 20 countries, the show has established itself as an international classic, while retaining its status as an iconic work of French musical theatre. Launched in 2001 at the Palais des Congrès — where it drew close to 2.5 million spectators — the production has become a cultural reference deeply rooted in collective memory. A true madeleine de Proust for an entire generation, embodied from the very beginning by the emblematic duo Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara. Unique in the world of French musical theatre, Roméo & Juliette is still today the only show that allows audiences to rediscover its original duo on stage.

For Cécilia, "returning to Paris with Roméo & Juliette is deeply moving. I was chosen at 15 to play Juliette, a foundational role that marked the beginning of my life as an artist. Finding it again twenty years later, alongside Damien, has been a very powerful moment — as if we had never parted, but enriched by everything life has brought us. This return carries a symbolic value: coming full circle, returning to where it all began, with 25 years of experience now nourishing the characters in a different way. The story continues to bring people together, to pass on love and emotion. It is an immense joy and a great gratitude to find Juliette again and the French public."

Following on, Damien adds: "returning to Paris after taking Roméo & Juliette around the world, notably in Asia, has a very particular resonance."
