Scène ouverte stand-up

A comedy evening devoted to stand-up, presented at the Café Théâtre Le Citron Bleu in Toulouse. The genre brings together a single comedian on stage facing the audience, with no set and no imposed storyline.

Scène ouverte stand-up belongs to the one-man show and comedy genre. The form rests on the spoken word: a comedian alone on stage delivers a sequence of routines, addressed directly to the room. The register is that of verbal comedy, built on observation of everyday life, mockery and the rhythm of one line leading into the next.

In the room, the show takes the form of a succession of short spoken turns, with no dance, no singing and no continuous plot. Attention falls on the writing and on each comedian's delivery, in a direct exchange between the stage and the audience.

The evening takes place at the Café Théâtre Le Citron Bleu, a Toulouse theatre. It is aimed at an audience that enjoys stand-up and comedy, who come to hear comic texts rather than a dramatic performance.
