Thylacine - Tournée

Sometimes one has to uproot oneself in order to find harmony with oneself and with the world around. That, at any rate, is the principle that has served Thylacine so well so far, and it is why he has decided to pursue his creative quest. The artist we followed aboard the Trans-Siberian, along the roads of the Andes Cordillera and the Faroe Islands, or in Turkey where he learned to play the baglama, has decided for his new album, Roads vol. 3, to once again step away from the creative habits of his Parisian studio. Confessing that he struggles to compose two tracks in one and the same place, he has this time chosen to roam a new continent for three months.

Still travelling in his now-famous flamboyant caravan, a 1972 Airstream equipped to record, work and perform his journeys unlike any other, William Rezé-Thylacine has given himself the time he needed. That is the time that goes missing when you are bogged down in routine and the rhythm of tours, the time it takes for journeys to become authentic experiences and for intuition to transform into a material ever bolder and more original.

This album promises to be the picture of an astonishing voyage. A genuine creative vertigo, the result of deep questioning about his art and his practice in the face of the balances of the world around him. A new musical odyssey that makes Thylacine a fundamentally unique artist of his kind.
