Umut Köker - Paradoxe, Tournée

As he himself says: “I have a face that doesn’t allow for long silences”… With his long beard and imposing presence, Umut Köker stands out in the stand-up scene. But don’t be fooled by his “Turkish look”, because the thirty-something is no stranger to a “Paradoxe”.

With his sharp wit and a gaze as gentle, sensitive, and tender as it is clear-sighted about the world, he delivers a show that is both hilarious and poignant.

A clever mix of personal confessions about his Turkish and Kurdish origins, his childhood in a suburban tower block up to his arrival in a La Défense skyscraper, his bachelorhood, or ambient racism, “Paradoxe”, his first show, advocates for the need to look beyond appearances.

With disarming subtlety and undeniable comedic naturalness, Umut Köker is the unmissable revelation of this season.
