Overview
In July 1954, one of the most intriguing figures of the 20th century passed away: the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. 70 years after her death, her work continues to fascinate, and her life as a free and committed woman resonates strongly in our contemporary era.
Making painting her reason for living, Frida pours into it both a pictorial testimony to her physical suffering, her passionate loves and her melancholy.
Echoing Frida's battered body, actress Laurence Ruatti throws herself wholeheartedly into this colourful ode, which makes the magic of Kahlo's world tangible.
The Mexican Revolution, a tragic accident, a deconstructed love, sapphic passions, explosions of colour... this hour with Frida Kahlo is a total show, where images, text, music and dance galvanise the sensitive journey of a charismatic woman whose fertile resilience commands our admiration.
