Une journée à la crèche : venez découvrir les métiers et la politique de qualité d'accueil de la petite enfance de la Ville de Paris

From 8 to 10 October, the City of Paris and its staff are organising the 2nd edition of "Métiers de Ville, métiers de vie". Workshops, meetings, exceptional visits: come and discover the duties of those who make Paris come alive!

Come and discover the world of early childhood and the professionals who work on a daily basis with toddlers and their families! The Ecole des métiers de la petite enfance for City of Paris staff is opening its doors to you! Located at 158 rue Legendre in the 17th arrondissement and replicating the layout of a day nursery, this training centre provides training as close as possible to real conditions with children. During your visit, you can immerse yourself in early childhood professions:

The profession of nursery nurse assistant (auxiliaire de puériculture). This involves caring for children by meeting their fundamental needs, contributing to their development through the design and implementation of educational projects and building a trusting relationship with families.

The profession of nursery kitchen and cleaning staff. This involves preparing meals for toddlers, maintaining laundry and keeping the premises clean, while taking part in the life of the nursery.

This meeting will also be an opportunity to discover all aspects of the policy regarding the quality of childcare in City of Paris nurseries, and how this translates into training for all professionals working in the facilities.

On 8 October 2026, two visiting slots are available:

from 12:15 to 13:00

from 13:00 to 13:45

> register here!

We look forward to seeing many of you there and please feel free to share news of these open doors with those around you!
