Overview
Discover the musical theatre show Une opérette à Ravensbrück by Compagnie Nosferatu.
Resisting by writing, singing under the very noses of the Nazi jailers to defend one's dignity. This is the means Germaine Tillion (1907–2008), ethnologist and French resistance fighter who entered the Panthéon in 2015) found to survive the Ravensbrück camp in 1944.
Staged in the manner of a music hall, the text presents the female deportees of Ravensbrück.
Evoking the memory of popular refrains and the merry banquet tables of bygone days, these women fight against their inhuman condition with the most formidable of weapons: the joy of living.
Une Opérette à Ravensbrück lets audiences see and hear the humanity and fraternity kept alive despite the horror.
