Une Seconde avant Noël - Le Musical

Discover WHO Father Christmas was before he became Father Christmas! What is his first name? What kind of child was he? How did he first meet the elves and the reindeer? Where do the Christmas tree, the yule log, the baubles and the presents come from? Why the North Pole?

Adapted from the bestselling novel by Romain SARDOU, "Une Seconde Avant Noël - Le Musical" reveals the childhood of the best-known character in the world! Discover how a young orphan from a nineteenth-century English mining town, an unfortunate little chimney sweep, becomes, through the force of destiny and friendship, the kindly figure whom children around the world await each winter. From Tim Burton to Slava's Snow Show, "Une Seconde Avant Noël" belongs to that line of worlds that touch children and adults alike. Shaped by a contemporary aesthetic, the staging and the music offer a never-before-seen vision of Christmas, its history and its hero. The creative team comprises Tristan PETITGIRARD as director, Romain SARDOU and Arnaud KERANE on the libretto, MARSO for the music, and the couturier Charles de VILMORIN for the costumes and visual world. "Une Seconde Avant Noël" is a musical tale for everyone, from children who still are to the child who lives in each of us. An original story whose staging and songs will restore the taste for dreams, wonder and the impossible. You may not have known it, but Father Christmas has a name: Harold Gui!
