Vania est vivant

A powerful story about propaganda, loss, and grief. Everything is going well in Alia's life. Spring has arrived, the sun is shining, and her son Vania will soon return from “where there is peace”. But the day she learns that Vania “was not taken prisoner”, begins a long journey that will lead Alia to see the truth. VANIA EST VIVANT speaks of any place where people, confronted with an oppressive reality, prefer to close their eyes. Indeed, the play explores the means of disinformation and the ease with which propaganda infiltrates our lives through the media. This poignant narrative questions us about ourselves, tossed between the choice offered to us: deny reality or accept oppression to survive. An essential show that decentres and challenges abrupt certainties.
