Vania est vivant

A powerful, powerful tale about propaganda, loss and grief. Everything is going well in Alia's life. Spring has arrived, the sun is shining and her son Vania will soon be coming back from "where there is peace".

But the day she learns that Vania "was not taken prisoner", a long journey begins that will lead Alia to see the truth. VANIA IS ALIVE speaks of any place where people, faced with an oppressive reality, prefer to close their eyes.

Indeed, the play explores the means of disinformation and the ease with which propaganda infiltrates our lives through the media. This poignant tale questions us about ourselves, tossed between the choice offered to us: denying reality or accepting oppression to survive.

An essential show that de-centres and calls into question abrupt certainties.
