The Parc Floral de Paris
The patios and pavilions keep us sheltered from the bad weather.
The Parc Floral is one of the four sites of the Ville de Paris botanical garden. Created in 1969 to host an international horticultural exhibition, the Parc Floral de Paris still today showcases outdoor plant collections of national renown, featuring irises, peonies and dahlias, among them the variety created by the Ville de Paris gardeners for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, in a reddish-orange shade evoking the Olympic flame.
The older and more recent landscaping, the alkaline peat bog, the Evolution garden planted exclusively with species native to Île-de-France, and the alpine garden all help to foster biodiversity on the site.
The visit to the pavilions, particularly in winter, offers the chance to admire plants from the Jurassic era, a permanent exhibition of bonsai, and textile and cosmetic plants.
