Viva l'Italia !

"VIVA L'ITALIA!" Le Ciné-Trio invites you on a musical journey through Italy and its greatest film composers. From the tender poetry of La Vita è Bella to the mystical tones of Mission, from the unforgettable themes of The Godfather to the romantic surges of Romeo and Juliet, the full emotional power of Italian cinema – and its influence on Hollywood – unfolds before your eyes and in your ears. Come and be moved by the eternal melodies of Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Nicola Piovani... who have, better than anyone, married the deep soul of the Italian peninsula with the universality of the Seventh Art. The selected excerpts will plunge you into the sweeping epics (Once Upon a Time in America, Once Upon a Time in the West), the intimate and poetic narratives (Cinema Paradiso, The Legend of 1900), but also into the abundant universe of Federico Fellini, where Rota's music dances between dream and reality (La Dolce Vita, Amarcord, Otto e Mezzo, La Strada). Between drama, nostalgia, lyricism and jubilation, this concert is a celebration of Italy, homeland of bel canto transfigured by the magic of cinema. With the Ciné-Trio: Philippe Barbey-Lallia (piano and arrangements), Cyril Baleton (violin) and Timothée Oudinot (oboe). Suitable from age 8. Duration: 1h15. Production: Philippe Dupouy / Musique et Toile.

ABOUT THE CINÉ-TRIO: The Ciné-Trio grew out of a friendship between three musicians who graduated in the same year from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Their shared passion for film music led them to form this ensemble while they were still students. Since then, the trio has built a repertoire of more than 550 original arrangements of some of the most famous themes composed for the cinema, spanning films from the 1930s to the present day. It regularly performs at music and film festivals, and at corporate and special events. To date it has played for nearly 1.000
