Overview
The Czech Centre Paris is delighted to invite you to an unprecedented ciné-concert dedicated to Czech composer Vítězslava Kaprálová!
On the occasion of an exceptional evening devoted to Czech composer Vítězslava Kaprálová (1915–1940), the Czech Centre Paris invites you to immerse yourself in the destiny of one of the most fascinating figures of twentieth-century Czech music.
This ciné-concert will feature the screening of the documentary "Kaprálová" directed by Petr Záruba, as well as a musical performance by students of the Conservatoire Jean-Philipe Rammeau.
Organised in partnership with the Conservatoire Jean-Philippe Rameau of Paris's 6th arrondissement, and with the participation of Alice Tabery, producer of the documentary "Kaprálová", the evening brings music and cinema into dialogue to produce an unprecedented portrait of an artist whose dazzling career was cut short at just twenty-five years of age.
