AEON

Dance Opera

Duration: 45 min

AEON is a dance opera imagined by Noralyzsa.

The piece follows the return to Earth of a woman who has come back from the Underworld. After having seen everything, lost everything and lived everything, she tries to find her place again among the living. Torn between the desire to stay and the pull of returning, she wavers between sky and street. Under the sign of Aeon, the figure of infinite time, her passage becomes a quest: that of a key capable of reconciling the passing of time with what, within us, endures.

The work brings together 17 performers: 8 dancers, 8 choristers and 1 solo voice.

Between a male choir inspired by Orthodox and Byzantine chant, organ and electronic music, AEON brings ancient heritage and contemporary writing into dialogue, between the sacred and the profane.
