Overview
Forty-five years into their career, with fourteen studio albums to their name, and independence still worn proudly on their sleeve, AND ALSO THE TREES are releasing albums at an ever-quickening pace, free and inspired in equal measure.
Free, because they have detached themselves from any reference to the coldwave and gothic rock they helped forge alongside The Cure in the early eighties.
Inspired, because that is the sole driving force behind AND ALSO THE TREES, a band that has kept its independence so as to answer only to the call of its muses.
Since the early 2010s and the acoustic interlude of "When The Rain Comes" / "Driftwood", the band led by the Jones brothers seems to be enjoying a second golden age, which translates on stage into classy, exhilarating concerts and a growing audience.
2024 saw the release of "Mother-of-Pearl Moon", less than two years after "The Bone Carver", a delicate record with lush yet understated orchestration that pushes the band into new territory, notably with the addition of electronic elements in places.
