Asfar Shamsi is the story of a child who loves getting lost among FNAC record bins, never far from CD listening stations and their oversized headphones. Of a teenager who discovers rap and falls in love with it to the point of writing her first lyrics.
Of a young adult who, after several months—salvatory and musical—in Beirut, decides to share the tracks she shapes in her room.
After Au Revoir Février, Asfar Shamsi prepares a second EP for 2025 with sharp rhymes and careful writing, with rap lyrics in structure and pop in color, with intimate productions, electro or airy. Music reflecting all her influences.
Winner of the Fair this year, two years after being selected for the Rappeuz springboard, Asfar Shamsi has reclaimed genres to draw out crystal-clear and intoxicating music from them. A clever blend between Sheldon, Luidji and Laurent Voulzy.
