Overview
Concert by the artist Assemblage at Toï Toï Le Zinc, a venue in Villeurbanne, in an evening that combines riot grrrl and a DIY market (handmade and self-produced).
Assemblage performs at this evening, which draws on riot grrrl, the feminist punk movement that emerged in the early 1990s in the United States, notably in Olympia, in the state of Washington. Among the bands of this scene, Bikini Kill, Bratmobile and Sleater-Kinney are often cited.
The title pairs the concert with a DIY market. The DIY ethos, which consists of producing and distributing things oneself, lies at the heart of this encounter between music and independent creation.
