Azur et Asmar En Ciné-Concert

Presented by uGo&Play and the Yellow Socks Orchestra.

Special appearance by Souad Massi – After sold-out performances throughout France, the ciné-concert of Azur et Asmar – which has already won the hearts of several thousand spectators – returns to Paris, to the legendary Grand Rex, for an exceptional performance on Sunday 25 October 2026!

On this occasion, we will have the great honour of welcoming to the stage the singer-songwriter Souad Massi, who will perform the song from Azur et Asmar live.

Conducted by Nicolas Simon, the Yellow Socks Orchestra will perform live the original music by Gabriel Yared – specially re-arranged by Robin Melchior for this format – in perfect synchronisation with the film projected on the big screen.

They will be joined on stage by soloists Mohamed Najem on the ney flute and Yousef Zayed on the oud. Creator of the unforgettable Kirikou trilogy, Michel Ocelot signed Azur et Asmar (2006), a new animated masterpiece that left its mark on an entire generation.

Inspired by the Arabian Nights, Azur et Asmar addresses social issues such as inequality and the discovery of foreign cultures through the story of two foster brothers – Azur, the blond with blue eyes, and Asmar, the dark-haired one with black eyes – raised by the same woman in a green and flowery land.

Brutally separated by life as they leave childhood, both are driven by the desire to find the Fairy of the Djinns, and they set off on an epic journey rich in lessons that will reunite the two brothers.

Discover or rediscover, as a family, this touching and action-packed tale that marked an entire generation and still speaks to young and old alike.
