Overview
Benjamin Valière explores the hidden meanings of children's songs. "Une souris verte", "Le bon roi Dagobert", "Il était une bergère"… so many songs inseparable from childhood, and ones we all know. But what do their lyrics really mean? And what if I told you that many of them hide a double meaning? Doesn't your curiosity suddenly stir, wanting to know what the character in "Au clair de la lune" went off to do at his neighbour's house? Or why "nous n'irons plus au bois"? And I'm only talking about the most politically correct ones, because some don't hesitate to evoke rape, death, torture, cannibalism and other delights.
So we will perform together 7 songs, among the best known in the children's repertoire, which we will dissect. Do you expect to be surprised? Trust me, you will be even more so. Of course, I am going to ruin your childhood. But I promise you will love it!
