Overview
Blues Velvet Gospel in concert at the Petit Théâtre de Nivelle, Salle Pierre Arditi, a project that brings together rhythm and blues, soul, funk, gospel and reggae over the course of a single evening.
Blues Velvet Gospel brings together several musical traditions rooted in African-American and Jamaican music: rhythm and blues, soul, funk, gospel and reggae. The project's title draws on its two core poles, the blues and the gospel, which shape this musical proposition.
The concert takes place at the Petit Théâtre de Nivelle, Salle Pierre Arditi, in the town of Nivelle. The venue hosts theatre and music performances, and the evening is aimed at fans of groups that bring together worlds as different as gospel choral singing and the rhythms of funk or reggae.
The project presents itself as more than a simple concert, according to its own presentation, and offers a writing style that mixes several heritages on a single stage.
