Carla de Coignac

Singer-songwriter Carla de Coignac writes authentic songs in French, where every word aims to strike a chord. Born in Paris, she grew up between Cahors and Toulon in a family of music lovers. Writing quickly became a refuge: marked by the loss of her mother in adolescence, she built an intimate body of work, exploring themes of grief, love, and reconstruction. Revealed to the general public during her participation in Nouvelle Star, she initially chose to remain in the shadows, writing for others, notably Louane and Mika. It was on social media that she then asserted her uniqueness, with a concept of song rewrites, followed by several hundred thousand people. Her moving French version of Another Love became the track Peur de l'amour, accumulating over 3 million streams and millions of views. In 2025, she released her first EP Confession, the musical extension of a very personal writing process. Several tracks were featured on the show Star Academy, confirming her growing resonance with the public. On stage as in her lyrics, Carla de Coignac explores with raw honesty the contradictions of the heart: loving, doubting, falling apart, getting back up. A raw writing style, carried by a voice that turns fragility into strength.
