Carrières des Lumières

Discover Carrières des Lumières, an immersive exhibition presented within the Carrières de Lumières cultural site in Les baux de provence.

The Carrières de Lumières host this immersive exhibition, which transforms the former stone quarries into a vast visual projection space. The route invites visitors to wander through immense halls where monumental images are projected onto the rock walls, the pillars and the floors, accompanied by a soundscape.

This art centre offers a distinctive approach to cultural visiting, suited to a broad audience, from art lovers to curious visitors seeking visual discoveries. The digital hanging showcases the works of artists through an architectural staging that makes use of the natural topography of the site.

For this season, the experience is for anyone who wishes to engage with artistic creations from a renewed visual and spatial angle. The visit is self-guided, moving from one projected sequence to the next through the spaces of the quarries.
