Cendrillon

Young-audience adaptation of the Cinderella tale, presented at the Petit Théâtre de Nivelle, with a cast of Camille Vandenpoorte, Marie Frémaux, Anne-Cécile Boilly, Tatiana Pesin and Astrid Mahler.

Cinderella is presented as a show for young audiences at the Petit Théâtre de Nivelle. The tale, which follows a young woman mistreated by her stepfamily until the prince's ball, is aimed at the youngest audiences and keeps its key landmarks: the fairy godmother, the pumpkin, the lost slipper.

The cast brings together Camille Vandenpoorte, Marie Frémaux, Anne-Cécile Boilly, Tatiana Pesin and Astrid Mahler. Marie Frémaux is a performing arts artist and Astrid Mahler a music scene artist. The musical dimension comes from Astrid Mahler's participation in the cast.

The show is intended for young audiences and is staged at the Petit Théâtre de Nivelle, in the commune of Nivelle, in the Nord. It forms part of the theatre's youth programme, with writing that is accessible to children, without claiming a scholarly reading of the tale.
