Convergences

To be discovered from Friday 2 October to Thursday 8 October at La Place!

To mark La Place's 10th anniversary, we are working on a group exhibition bringing together around twenty French and international artists from urban cultures. The exhibition is organised by Maquis-Art for La Place, with curation by Mika Papamichail.

The title CONVERGENCES echoes Châtelet-Les Halles, a true meeting point in the heart of Paris, as well as the intersection of generations, styles and scenes that make up urban art today.

The idea is to bring together artists with very different universes who share the same culture.

Graffiti, muralism, illustration, post-graffiti and contemporary urban art will converse through a selection of established artists, each presenting two works representative of their practice.

The exhibition will also echo the history of L'Aérosol and the various projects that continue to keep urban cultures alive in France today, notably with the recent opening of L'Aérosol La Tulipe in Marseille.

Among the first artists announced: Réso, Korse, Apset, Billy Gee, Jo Ber, Difuz and Aero. We will be telling you more very soon about the complete artist line-up... From 2 to 8 October at La Place!
