Overview
Since 2009, Charles Rowell and Brandon Welchez twist their guitars and string together unstoppable melodies with watchwords saturation, distortion, reverb and shoegaze. CROCODILES is a bridge between California's moisture and the 90s noise of Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine.
After a long hiatus, the Crocodiles finally reunited at Quiksilver studios in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France, in fall 2021, to record their new album, Upside Down In Heaven. Maxime Smadja (Rixe, Boss) was entrusted with production and brought his characteristic touch to the whole.
Atef Aouadhi and Diego Dal Bon joined the party on bass and drums. True to Crocodiles' characteristic style, the album coherently zigzags from one style to another.
There are pure punk-pop anthems (Love Beyond The Grave), mutant garage-rock (Surfing With Death), contagious fuzz-pop (Forever Walk Alone), tracks ready to set dancefloors ablaze (Deadbeat) and even hardcore death-rock (Rock & Roll Graveyard).
The songs are direct, get straight to the point and leave listeners wanting more.

After cutting their teeth in various formations on European and American stages (from Berlin to Los Angeles via Amsterdam and Rio de Janeiro), Year Of The Dog decided to never stop touring.
