Overview
Directed by: Marie-Claude Pietragalla & Julien Derouault With Marie-Claude Pietragalla & Julien Derouault and the dancers of the TDC This new creation, Don Quichotte, reimagines Cervantes's literary masterpiece through a poetic and daring staging.
Blending dance, theatre and digital art, this show explores themes of idealism, madness and the pursuit of an ideal, in a deeply human and visually stunning interpretation.
Claire Allante, a visual artist specialising in immersive experiences and digital stage design, creates the virtual sets for this ballet, blending them with the dreamlike situations experienced by Don Quichotte.
Marie-Claude Pietragalla and Julien Derouault sign a new choreography here, pitting humanity against the machine, a Don Quichotte confronted with a technological future, in love with an artificial intelligence that rules over humanity.
He struggles to convince us that fiction shapes reality. But which one?
