Overview
Swedish gothic doom band DRACONIAN announces the release of its 8th studio album, "In Somnolent Ruin", on 8 May 2026 via Napalm Records, marking the return of singer Lisa Johansson to the band!
The undisputed leader of the second wave of gothic doom metal, DRACONIAN is finally back, and in better form than ever!
Their new studio album, "In Somnolent Ruin", is arguably one of the most personal records in the band's discography, unfolding as a dreamlike journey across nine tracks and through the poetic lyrics of vocalist Anders Jacobsson. The new album also marks the return of long-time singer Lisa Johansson, who sang on the band's first five albums and once again shares the microphone with Anders Jacobsson.
The members who took part in recording the new album have been touring together since 2022, which gives the record a particular live atmosphere.
