Edward aux Mains d'Argent en Ciné-Concert

• FRENCH PREMIERE - For the first time in France, Edward Scissorhands (20th Century Studios) returns to the screen in a film-concert version!

Danny Elfman's original soundtrack will be performed live by 75 musicians during the screening of the film. Thirty-seven years after its cinema release, Tim Burton's masterpiece enjoys a symphonic rebirth in the legendary Grand Rex auditorium in Paris!

For two hours, the 75 musicians of the Yellow Socks Orchestra will perform Danny Elfman's famous soundtrack live, in perfect synchronisation with the screening of the film (VOSTFR) on the big screen. An unforgettable experience bringing together on stage Tim Burton's modern, offbeat fairy tale and the ethereal, moving score of composer Danny Elfman, a GRAMMY award winner.

Released in 1990 and directed by Tim Burton (Beetlejuice, Disney's The Nightmare Before Christmas), the film follows Edward (Johnny Depp), an artificial being with a big heart who has scissors in place of hands. Orphaned and left unfinished by his creator (Vincent Price in his final role), Edward longs to form connections and allows himself to be persuaded to join a community in a suburb of the city. Initially welcomed as a curiosity, his singularity eventually breeds jealousy and mistrust among the neighbours. As the story unfolds, Edward forms a tender love story with Kim (Winona Ryder).

Edward Scissorhands has won the hearts of millions of viewers around the world through the universality of its themes: its exploration of acceptance, love and the difficulties associated with being different. Danny Elfman's haunting score blends perfectly with Burton's stylistic choices, which give the work its very distinctive atmosphere. Edward Scissorhands was one of the first collaborations between Elfman and Burton, an artistic partnership that would give life to many other remarkable projects.
