Eiffel

EIFFEL is ROMAIN HUMEAU's rock project. Singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Romain Humeau has recorded 12 albums.

Stepping outside the codes and standards of rock, his protean productions move across many registers and change skin regularly without ever losing the thread of the songs.

Influenced by the art rock of Bowie, Pixies, Lennon-McCartney, XTC, Talking Heads as much as Bach, Brel, a certain kind of rap as well as a certain kind of electronica, Beck, Vian, Coltrane, Depeche Mode, Latin American, Baroque and Romantic music, Eiffel is a permanent [r]evolution.

Close to 1,000 concerts in France, Belgium, Quebec and Switzerland, backed by a touching closeness with its self-declared hardcore fans, "Les Ahuris", Eiffel is a concrete body, with no virtual avatar.

If "À tout moment la rue", "Sous ton aile", "Place de mon cœur", "Tu vois loin", "Toi", "Sombre", "Te revoir", "Chercher", "Echos", "Je m'obstine", "Cascade", "Beauté du diable", "Hype" among others have formed the backbone of so many concerts, the tracks from "La peur et le vent", a forthcoming album whose finishing touches are underway, are meant to be written for the stage.

Changes on every level. A musical shift tinged with soul, a blend of 80s-inflected energy with the coldness of the world as it runs today, and the guiding principle of using no machines whatsoever for this album. Airy, raw lyrics and a warm voice.

A determination to show that line-ups for stage and studio can change and evolve according to the music. The release of "La peur et le vent" is planned for September 2025 and will be accompanied by a substantial tour.
